Ask Jennifer why she loves accounting, and she’ll tell you it’s the same reason she loves baking: precision matters, but so does patience — and the best results come from getting both right. Over nearly 19 years, she’s applied that philosophy across a surprising mix of industries, from construction sites and restaurant kitchens to nonprofits and public accounting firms, picking up a different lesson in every one.
That range shows up in her work today. Jennifer is equally at home reconciling accounts, running payroll, or building out financial reporting systems that actually make sense to the people using them. She’s not chasing perfection for its own sake — she’s after clarity, the kind that lets a business trust its own numbers.
As Staff Accountant at K2D Strategy, Jennifer brings that same care to every task, quietly making sure the details hold up so the bigger picture can too.
Outside of work, she’s likely elbow-deep in a new recipe, catching up with family and friends, or showing up for a cause she believes in. Fittingly, her favorite book is John Grisham’s The Firm — a nod, maybe, to the fact that she’s spent her career reading a different kind of firm’s story: the one told through its books.
